Our Mission Statement
The section’s mission is to expand understanding of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender populations among Counseling and Psychological professionals, students and all those they impact in their roles as clinicians, teachers, consultants and authors.
Our Goal
To encourage effective and ethically sound counseling and psychological research, training, and practice related to lesbian women, gay men, bisexual men and women and transgender persons.
To create opportunities for professional networking and career development for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, professionals and their allies.
To develop working relationships between corporate America and mental health service providers to facilitate more cohesive and productive environments in the workplace and in the communities where people work and live.
