ECP Leadership and ServiceJoin the ECP Committee! Every year, the Early Career Professionals (ECP) Committee welcomes 3 new colleagues to the committee to represent and advocate for ECP interests, including developing ECP-focused programs and participating in divisional leadership activities. Our mission is to provide a home for early career folks where we find resources, share stories, build a community, and fight for social justice and against anti-Black racism, colonialism, and other forms of oppression. We are committed to providing accessible and equitable events, opportunities, and recognitions that elevate ECP visibility and excellence, as well as to collaborate on dismantling White supremacy within our organization. Members of Division 17 who are within 10 years of receiving their doctoral degrees as well as graduate students completing their final year of doctoral studies are eligible for appointment. We are proud to continue to work on ways to provide equitable access to leadership and compose a committee of members that represent those whom we serve as closely as we are able. In 2016, a new APA Office on Early Career Psychologists (ECPs) was created. CECP supports the needs of ECPs within and outside APA through advocacy and facilitating the development of resources. |
